Connect the Dots | SEPTEMBER WK 2

The Bible is God’s Word. Every person mentioned in its pages is there on purpose, for a purpose. And sometimes people have the same name and we mix them up, or we aren’t sure what a person did, or we have never even heard his or her name! In this series, we’re going to dig into God’s Word to look at commonly mixed up or overlooked people to learn “Who’s Who in the Bible!”

The book of John gives us details about Nicodemus’s meeting with Jesus.

Their meeting took place at night, and we are never explicitly told how or if Nicodemus’ heart was changed.

But we do see Him again at the cross, helping to care for and properly bury Jesus’ body.

Something from their meeting impacted Nicodemus. And many scholars believe that this is evidence of Him believing the truth of Jesus being God’s son, sent to die to pay for the sins of the world!

The Bible is about real people who really lived. How are TRUE Biblical accounts different than made-up, fictional stories?

In terms of fact or fiction, where do gods from other cultures fall (ie: the Greek or Egyptian gods–are they real people or made up)?

When you accept Jesus as your Savior, your heart is changed. Create a piece of art inspired by this change.

Go on a prayer walk around your neighborhood! You may not know what everyone needs, but God does!!
