Series Overview
The Bible is one incredible book made up of 66 smaller books. Each one was inspired by God and written by different men, in different places, at different times throughout history. Together, they tell the thrilling story of God and His relationship with His people.
What’s truly amazing is that although these books were written over a span of more than 1,500 years, they fit together perfectly to tell one beautiful story—God’s BIG story: Creation, Fall, Promise, Jesus, and Church.
Lesson Overview
The beginning of Genesis tells us how God made the world. The Bible tells us that before God made the world, there was nothing. No trees. No animals. No people. No sun. No moon.
But God is so powerful that He didn’t need any supplies to make the world–no blocks, no scissors, no crayons, no playdoh. God had nothing and out of nothing God made EVERYthing!
He simply spoke, and things appeared! What a powerful way to start God’s BIG story!

Read Genesis 1:1-2:3
Read it slowly. What stands out that you have never noticed before?
DISCUSS
Reread verse 1:26. “Let us make man…” To whom is the “us” referring?
PRAISE
Choose a favorite praise and worship song. Can you find Bible verses to back up any of the lyrics?
CREATE
Using whatever craft supplies you have, create an animal you would have made during creation!
