Our Story

2017

In Summer 2017, twenty-five adults took the leap of faith, leaving Conway, Arkansas, and making Georgetown their new home. The top priorities for the first few months were learning the Georgetown culture and developing relationships with people in the community. There were many unanswered questions, but one thing was for sure: God led us here for a reason.  On August 27, we held our very first monthly preview service at Carver Elementary School where we taught on the five marks of our church culture.

On January 21, we officially launched weekly services at Carver Elementary School. We were so grateful to continue our partnership with this school, not simply meeting there on Sundays, but also serving the teachers and staff throughout the year. Later that year, we had our first baptisms on April 22.

Knowing that land prices were continuing to rise and that southeast Georgetown was slated to boom in the next decade, we followed the Lord’s lead to purchase 12.2 acres near the intersection of SH 130 and Patriot Way. This was a big risk for our small church, but we were unafraid to take this prayerful step of faith!

Because of our ministry partnership Brookwood in Georgetown, they invited us to move our Sunday service from Carver Elementary where we’d been since our founding to their Amazing Grace Building that would complete construction in Spring 2020. Though we couldn’t see the pandemic coming, God could, and in His providence he provided us this new location as all schools closed due to COVID. As people searched for churches who were meeting in person, our church began to grow rapidly in the second half of 2020, moving from one to two service times.

As God continued to add people to our church, we worked diligently to expand our ministry to facilitate the growth. During this year, we increased our church staff to include a full-time kids and full-time students leads, grew our lay ministry leader team, moved to three services, and hosted our first NXT (our version of VBS) in June.

Because of the generosity of our people, were able to begin many new partnerships in 2022 with great organizations like Mission 4031, Helping Hands of Georgetown, Soul Survivor Outdoor, and more. We also multiplied our small group ministry to 30 groups meeting across the greater Georgetown area.

During our fifth birthday celebration, Pastor Andy announced a new partnership with Africa New Life, a wonderful organization set in the Central African nation of Rwanda. During the announcement, he challenged Antioch to sponsor 100 kids by the end of the year. The people of Antioch responded by sponsoring 104 kids by year’s end. During the summer, Antioch sent 33 people on its first mission trips, visiting ministry partners in Rwanda and Mexico. In the Fall, Antioch sent out it’s first church planter, Brad Cauley, to plant Redemption’s Table Church in Cedar Park.
