Kids Ministry Co-Director

Qualifications: 

  1. Growing follower of Jesus who aligns with Antioch's beliefs, mission, vision, and values.
  2. Demonstrates humility, integrity, and servant leadership.
  3. Passionate about discipling children and building meaningful relationships with families, volunteers, and staff.
  4. Leads with initiative and wisdom, communicates well, and faithfully follows through on responsibilities.
  5. Protects and promotes unity among staff and volunteers.
  6. Creative, strategic, and organized, turning vision into effective plans, systems, and ministry goals.
  7. Manages time, projects, budgets, and technology with excellence and has a willingness to learn.
  8. Values teamwork and welcomes feedback.
  9. Maintains healthy personal and ministry rhythms.

Weekly Responsibilities:

  • Discipleship

- Plan and prepare curriculum for Sunday classes and other events.

- Print and gather resources for crafts and classroom experiences.

- Train and equip parents to have faith conversations at home and to feel comfortable leading their own child to faith in Christ.

  • Administration

- Equip leaders to confidently lead Kids groups well.

- Schedule classroom leaders, helpers, and other roles for Sunday classes.

- Track data metrics like attendance, baptisms, and volunteer retention and family involvement. 

- Strategize a Kids ministry calendar that helps kids grow in their faith.

- Effectively communicate to parents and continue building relationships with children and families.

Irregular Responsibilities:

  1. Attend various life events of the kids.
  2. Make care visits to hospitals, rehab centers, etc.
  3. Mentor key people both inside and outside of your ministry.
  4. Find ways to celebrate kids’ milestones.
Overview:

Big Idea: Develop and oversee kids ministry with Antioch’s current director.

Time Expectations: This is a full-time (traditionally 40 hours per week) position with regular office hours Sunday through Thursday.

Responsible To: Associate Pastor of Next Gen.
