Orphaned at just six months old and losing his father and sisters in the 1994 Rwandan Genocide, Eric Kubwimana grew up with a profound heart for God despite unimaginable loss.
Today, as part of this year’s graduating class at Africa College of Theology (ACT), Eric holds a degree in Theology and Leadership alongside his work as a financial accountant, Bible teacher, and international missionary. Armed with a deep understanding of redemptive servant leadership, he is actively equipping the next generation to realize that ministry extends far beyond the four walls of a church and into every sphere of society.

On Friday, August 14th, ACT celebrated its 3rd graduating class—a massive milestone for the ministry and the country!
297 Lives Changed, Countless Communities Impacted
A total of 297 students completed their studies and are stepping out equipped to lead:
- 284 Postgraduate Diplomas
- 13 Bachelor of Arts Degrees
These graduates represent hundreds of local churches and communities across Rwanda. Because of your generosity, these pastors and ministry leaders are now deeply trained to shepherd their congregations, preach the gospel, and serve their neighborhoods with strength and wisdom.
Stories of Hope & Inclusion
God is moving in unique ways through this new class of leaders:
- Reaching the Local Church: This year celebrated a key cohort from the ADEPR Church, strengthening the local church network across the region.
- Overcoming Barriers: One inspiring female graduate with a physical disability persevered through her studies and is now preparing to launch a ministry specifically serving people with disabilities. Her story is a powerful testament to ACT’s mission to raise up compassionate servant-leaders who meet real needs in their communities.
Looking Ahead: Deepening the Impact
The ministry is not slowing down! ACT is expanding its advanced training to equip even more leaders:
- 39 students have enrolled in the new Master of Arts in Theology program to train future theological educators and senior leaders.
- 19 students have begun the Postgraduate Certificate in Christian Counseling to bring God’s healing and care to hurting communities.
Dr. Nathan Chiroma, Principal of ACT, alongside the entire Africa New Life team, sends their deepest gratitude to our church family for standing with them during this critical season for the Rwandan Church.
