Welcome to week 36 of Weekly Word!
As we continue to lean into God’s heart for one more, this week’s Weekly Word will serve as a gentle pause. It’s a space for us to slow down, reflect, and prepare our hearts for all that God is doing in us and through us!
This week, we’ll pause and reflect on stepping out in boldness and prayer!
Below, you’ll find a few verses we invite you to commit to memory, a short devotional, and questions to reflect on in your own quiet time with the Lord, with family, or with your community.

Memory Verses:
- Colossians 4:3: “At the same time, pray also for us that God may open a door to us for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ…”
- Romans 10:14: “How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher?”
- 1 Peter 3:15: “…but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, ready at any time to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you. Yet do this with gentleness and respect…”
Devotional:
Compassion happens when we recognize someone’s suffering and strongly desire to help relieve their pain. Compassion spurs us on to bold action. Yet, we cannot be bold in our faith without the help of the Holy Spirit. We must ask God for this boldness.
In the same way, reaching one more requires us to step out in both bold prayer and intentional conversation with those who have yet to hear the gospel. Paul understood that fruitfulness in sharing Jesus starts on our knees, asking God to open doors for gospel conversations, and then having the courage to walk through those doors when they open.
Be encouraged, friends! Sharing your faith doesn’t require a theology degree or a perfectly written script; it simply requires a heart that honors Christ as Lord, a willingness to pray boldly, and the readiness to share the hope you have with gentleness and respect.
Reflection Questions:
- Write down the name of one specific person in your life who needs to know Jesus. This may be the person you identified on your One More card a few weeks ago. Pray for them by name every day this week!
- What is one simple, practical step you can take this week to show love or open a conversation with that one more (e.g., inviting them to coffee, offering to pray for a need, or inviting them to church)?
