Series Overview
For the next 7 weeks, we will be looking at Jesus’ own words from the book of Matthew with our new series, The Jesus Way! Jesus didn’t just teach ideas, he lived out His own words! We’ll see this as we continue in Matthew through Easter and examine the events from Palm Sunday through the Resurrection!
Lesson Overview
Palm Sunday! The beginning of a very eventful week for Jesus! As Jesus enters Jerusalem, he is celebrated as Hosanna! We also see Him being the Salt and Light, we see Him loving his enemies, we see Him praying to God in the garden, we see Him treasuring Heaven over the world… He lived out what He taught every moment of His life! The story continues of His overwhelming love for us, He went to the cross. But that’s not how the story ends… The Resurrection is coming!

Read Matthew 21:1-11 and Matthew 26-28. Have everyone share something they heard.
LEARN
Look up what “Hosanna” means? Why would they exclaim this?
WORSHIP
Pray a prayer of adoration for Jesus’ death on the cross and then enjoy praise music together!

Work together to draw a picture or timeline of the events in these passages.
