Series Overview
The Armor of God is not armor we can see with our eyes. But it is REAL armor that helps us each day as we learn to live more like Christ. And just like the fruit of the Spirit is singular (several words to describe the one fruit we receive from the Holy Spirit), so too is the Armor of God one suit, and we are to put on each individual piece every day.
Lesson Overview
Righteousness is sometimes equated with perfection. But no one is or can be perfect. In 2 Kings, when we meet King Josiah, God’s people were worshipping other gods and not living a God-honoring life in any way.
The Bible tells us that Josiah’s heart wanted to honor God, and Josiah was humble—this is what is means to have a breastplate of righteousness! So while perfect will never happen, we can work on living life and making decisions that rightly align with God’s word.
