Series Overview
The Bible is God’s Word. Every person mentioned in its pages is there on purpose, for a purpose. And sometimes people have the same name and we mix them up, or we aren’t sure what a person did, or we have never even heard his or her name! In this series, we’re going to dig into God’s Word to look at commonly mixed up or overlooked people to learn “Who’s Who in the Bible!”
Lesson Overview
There are only a few verses about Lydia in the Bible. But reading Acts 16 shows us how intentional God is. Paul had plans to share Jesus in many places, and the Holy Spirit stopped him more than once.
Following God’s lead, Paul went to Macedonia and soon began preaching to a group of women. One of those women was Lydia “a seller of purple goods, who was a worshiper of God.” (Acts 16:14)
Lydia knew God but had not heard of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross…
…Until God rerouted Paul!
READ
Acts 16 (Let everyone share one thing they heard in that passage.)
LOOK UP
A seller of purple goods implies Lydia was wealthy and successful. Why was purple cloth so expensive?
CREATE

PRAY
Go on a walk in your neighborhood , praying for each house as you pass. Pray for each person to know Jesus!
