Connect the Dots | December | Week 3

The birth of Jesus was God’s plan from the beginning! We can see this more fully as we look at each Gospel’s account of the Christmas Story! We can see the prophecy fulfilled (Mark); how Jesus was the Word made flesh (John); how God protected the lineage for 42 generations to ordain the birth of Christ (Matthew); and finally, the glorious night our Savior was born (Luke)! His birth truly is Good News of GREAT JOY!

Luke’s account of the birth of Jesus grips us with exciting details and plot twists: angelic announcements, a long journey, a humble birth story, shepherds visiting, a mom’s treasured details. How often do we pause during the holiday season to reflect on the impact the birth of Jesus had and continues to have on the world?

Take a moment to pause as a family and reflect on why we celebrate Christmas.

Turn on a playlist of worship songs (Christmas carols & others) and sing together as a family!

The Gospel isn’t only true at Christmas & Easter. The Gospel is our DAILY reminder of Jesus.

What is one way your family can be gospel focused each day?
