Series Overview
We are kicking off our new year diving into the FRUIT of the SPIRIT: The amazing gift from God to show people what His love looks like. Our goal with this series is to help our kids observe and recognize when they see the fruit being displayed in their daily lives. This week we learned more about Goodness!
Lesson Overview
God is always and only good! In an often hard and painful world, the goodness of God can be hard to fully grasp. God is good because He provides, comforts, teaches, and guides us! God is good no matter what we face on this earth so we can cling to Him!! (Romans 12:9)The Bible tells us that God is good to EVERYone. (Psalm 145)When we tell others about His goodness, generations after us will keep telling about His goodness too! (Psalm 145)
DISCUSS
Has there been a time when something you or your family didn’t want was actually good?
WORSHIP
Listen to the song, “Good, Good Father” and discuss the lyrics. Enjoy a time of family worship!
CREATE
On a poster or butcher paper, glue cut-out letters from magazines to spell: GOD IS GOOD. Decorate as desired!
RECORD
Throughout the week, encourage everyone to add an example (or several) of God’s goodness to your family!
