Connect the Dots | February | Week 2

We can understand the gospel message, even have accepted Jesus as our Savior, and still be confused over certain words. In this series, we’ll dig into some common ones to help define some hard-to-understand words. When we understand confusing or unfamiliar words, we can better grasp God’s Word and grow deeper in our faith.

When we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior, we instantly receive the gift of justification. It’s “just as if I” never sinned.

And while our salvation is secure from that decision, each day of our lives the Holy Spirit is working to help us become more like Jesus. This is called sanctification.

One is an instant, the other a process. Together, they help achieve our redemption: the action of being saved from sin.

For any family members who have accepted Christ as their savior, encourage them to share their testimony.

What is one way you can see the process of sanctification in your own life?

Grace, Mercy, Justification, Sanctification. Make a drawing depicting what these gifts mean to you.

God loves each of us more than anyone else ever could and is helping us every single day!
