Connect the Dots | February | Week 3

We can understand the gospel message, even have accepted Jesus as our Savior, and still be confused over certain words. In this series, we’ll dig into some common ones to help define some hard-to-understand words. When we understand confusing or unfamiliar words, we can better grasp God’s Word and grow deeper in our faith.

When we both understand and accept that Jesus died to pay the price for our sins, we get salvation. We can KNOW that we will spend all eternity with God in Heaven.

Neither communion nor baptism save us. But each is a very important act of obedience. Communion reminds us of the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for each of us. When we eat the bread and drink the wine (juice), just as Jesus did with His disciples, we remember.

Baptism is a way to show others the change salvation has made in our hearts & that we believe Jesus is Lord of our lives.

Luke 22:14-20 & 1 Corinthians 11:23-25
What did each of you hear?

Luke 23:39-43
Does baptism bring salvation? How can we know we are saved?

Consider taking communion as a family. Does anyone have questions?

Go on a walk together and share ways you have seen God move in your lives! Sharing helps us remember, too!
