Series Overview
We are finishing up our series of FRUIT of the SPIRIT: The amazing gift from God to show people what His love looks like. Our goal with this series is to help our kids observe and recognize when they see the fruit being displayed in their daily lives. This week we learned more about Self Control!
Lesson Overview
Romans 5:8, “For those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their minds set on the things of the Spirit.” As we wrap up our Fruit of the Spirit series, this is a great reminder that the Spirit helps us focus on these qualities that we can’t produce on our own! Each time you see a family member showing the Fruit of the Spirit, remember to thank God for faithfully growing HIS fruit in HIS children!
DISCUSS
Have someone read Galatians 5:16-25 and discuss works of flesh VS Fruit of the Spirit
CREATE
As a family, using letters and images from magazines, create a piece of art using the words of Galatians 5:22-23
PLAY
Write each fruit on an index card. Have the kids tape them around the house and have the parents race to find them!
MAKE
Make fruit pizza to celebrate the gift God gave us in the Fruit of the Spirit! Crust: Sugar Cookie, Sauce: Yogurt, Toppings: Fruit
