Connect the Dots | March | Week 2

Jesus’s words are ALWAYS true, and we can trust Him for who He says He is.

In the book of John, Jesus makes seven powerful I AM statements. Each statement testifies to a powerful way that Jesus provides and cares for us.

As we explore each one leading into the Easter season, we pray that we each see more fully the gift we receive in Jesus’ death on the cross!

We said last week that shepherds took really good care of their sheep; protecting, feeding, and providing for them. One of the ways they did this was to lead them to sheepfolds to rest.

If you view an image of a sheepfold, you will see a circular shape with one opening. This is the gate to the sheepfold. A shepherd would lead his sheep inside through this one opening and then would stand in the opening to keep them safe. Standing there made the shepherd the gate—sheep stayed in and everything else stayed out.

Jesus is our gate. He protects access to His sheep!

Find a picture of a sheepfold to look at together. What do you notice?

John 10:1-10
Acts 13:38-39

What did you hear?

Is there any other way to get salvation other than Jesus? Why?

Draw a picture of yourself and your family as sheep!
