Series Overview
We don’t sing to remind God who He is…He already knows. We sing to remind ourselves who God is…what He has done…and what He will do! This month we are learning about four Songs of Gratitude recorded in scripture! And as a special project this month, we’re learning The Doxology with motions! There will be a special performance on Sunday, December 8.
Lesson Overview
1 Samuel gives an account of Hannah’s deep and overwhelming sadness. It also gives us a beautiful picture of a woman changed through prayer before the gift was even received. And her very real faith to give that gift–her baby boy–back to the God who provided it! Her song of praise focuses on WHO God is and not what He gave. What a beautiful lesson in worshipping and praising our worship-worthy God simply for who He is!
