Connect the Dots | NOV WK 1

We don’t sing to remind God who He is…He already knows. We sing to remind ourselves who God iswhat He has doneand what He will do! This month we are learning about four Songs of Gratitude recorded in scripture! And as a special project this month, we’re learning The Doxology with motions!

Exodus 15 tells the exciting account of the parting of the Red Sea. Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt when Pharaoh changed his mind and began pursuing them! They come to the Red Sea and see no escape with the Egyptians closing in behind. After crying out to God, Moses raises his hand and God parts the sea like walls of water. The Israelites crossed the Red Sea on DRY ground! Miriam’s response was to stop & praise God for what He had done to save them! Just after complaining and doubt, the people PRAISED!

Choose a hymn (Doxology or another one) to learn as a family this month!

Start a gratitude list as a family. How many things you can list this week?

Sing a song of praise to God for something from your gratitude list!
