Series Overview
We use the word ‘awesome’ to describe a lot of things: our favorite food, plans we are excited about, and when we learn how to do something new. While other things can be exciting, good, and mind-blowing, nothing can truly inspire AWE except the wonders and things of God! He is AWEsome!
Lesson Overview
Psalm 89 tells us that God rules the raging sea.
And Mark 4 gives us a vivid account of Jesus doing exactly that when a storm was crashing waves over the sides of the boat where He slept.
The wind and waves bowed down to His words, the wind and waves that were spoken into creation. From the very beginning, God has demonstrated that He commands nature!
And that is truly awesome!

How do you think you would have reacted if you had been in the boat and seen the wind and waves obey?
CREATE
Jesus was sleeping amidst the storm and then simply spoke calm over the situation. Create an art piece depicting this.
LISTEN
Sit outside and set a timer for 5 minutes. Simply listen to all the sounds you hear that God created!
