Series Overview
The Armor of God is not armor we can see with our eyes. But it is REAL armor that helps us each day as we learn to live more like Christ. And just like the fruit of the Spirit is singular (several words to describe the one fruit we receive from the Holy Spirit), so too is the Armor of God one suit and we are to put on each individual piece every day.
Lesson Overview
Belt of truth. Why does the armor of God begin with the belt? A soldier’s belt was very important. It helped hold up and support all the rest of his armor. Without a belt on, his other pieces of armor wouldn’t have anything to attach to. As such, when a soldier was putting on armor, he would start with his belt!
In the same way, we should always start with God’s truth. Anything that goes against God and His Word is a lie. Starting with the TRUTH of God’s Word gives us a strong and supportive foundation on which to build!
