Connect the Dots | May | Week 4

The Armor of God is not armor we can see with our eyes. But it is REAL armor that helps us each day as we learn to live more like Christ. And just like the fruit of the Spirit is singular (several words to describe the one fruit we receive from the Holy Spirit), so too is the Armor of God one suit, and we are to put on each individual piece every day.

Matthew 4 can be a hard chapter to read… “Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.” But as the passage unfolds, it’s such a powerful example of the Sword of the Spirit!

The devil entices Jesus, challenges Jesus, and then promises things that are not his to give. And each time, Jesus simply speaks God’s words and defeats the devil. God’s Word—the Sword of the Spirit is such a POWERFUL tool!
